Step 1: Prepare soil for planting
- Use loose, nutritious, well-drained soil.
- Add lime powder (1–2 kg/100 kg of soil) to disinfect, mix well and dry the soil for 2–3 days.
- If planting in pots: choose a pot ≥25cm deep with drainage holes.
- Sow seeds in a nursery tray, pot or bed, cover with a layer of fine soil about 0.5 cm.
- Keep moist with a mist sprayer every day.
- After 7–10 days, the seeds will begin to germinate.
Step 3: Caring for seedlings
- Water twice a day (early morning and cool afternoon).
- Keep the soil moist, do not let it dry out or become waterlogged.
- Place the plant in a place with lots of sunlight (at least 6 hours/day).
- When the plant is flowering, reduce watering to limit flower drop.
- If planted in pots, apply organic fertilizer periodically every 15-20 days.
- After about 30-50 days of planting, the tree begins to produce ripe red fruit.
- Harvest ripe fruit evenly, continuously every 2-3 days to help the tree produce new fruit.
- Each tree can produce fruit for 3-5 consecutive months.
